LST Training Opportunities
Let’s Start Talking provides comprehensive training for churches, mission teams, and individuals who want to use LST’s approach to share Jesus and share themselves anywhere in the world through English conversation, friendship, and faith.
FriendSpeak
FriendSpeak provides custom training to churches, nonprofits, college ministries, and individuals looking to share Jesus through meaningful conversations with their international neighbors.

For individuals, training is offered online multiple times each month (called Basic Training) on Thursdays, Sundays, or Wednesdays via Zoom. Click HERE (or the button below) to learn more and to register for Basic Training.
LST Connect
LST Connect provides English-speaking Christians the opportunity to participate in online LST reading sessions with international Readers from around the world.
To be trained as an LST Connect Worker, please register for an LST Basic Training seminar held on specific Thursdays, Sundays, and Wednesdays several times each month. Click HERE (or the button below) to learn more and to register for Basic Training.
LST International Projects
LST provides extensive training for small teams serving at one of our global sites. Teams access the core of their training on a self-paced online platform. LST staff lead three additional online components:
- Basic Training (how to understand and utilize the LST approach with international friends)
- Gateway Training (pre-departure preparation)
- EndMeetings (post-project debriefing).

Advanced Training
LST offers Advanced Training for all existing FriendSpeak, LST Connect, or LST International Workers who desire a deeper understanding of the LST strategy and more advanced techniques to create even more meaningful conversations. Advanced Training seminars are held monthly on Sunday evenings or mid-day on Wednesdays.

FriendSpeak training was different from any training I had ever had before, and I learned so much! Who would go into training expecting to be told, “you do not teach?” The training taught me how to be an effective question asker and friend while trusting God to grow the seeds being planted in my reader’s heart.
The LST method is extraordinarily effective because it attracts new contacts and establishes a personal and intimate bond between teacher and student which allows one to bear witness to Christ and His Word (book unknown in Italy). The preparation of the teachers is impeccable the result of the training they have before arriving. It has been and always will be a blessing to host LST teams that have given the community a boost. Glory to God.!!!
